Why Students fail in CS Exams ?

Many students keep asking this question that why I failed  in a particular subject? Why I can’t score more? I have done my classes. I was serious in my studies & during exams also.  I have sacrificed lots of things.Why I am not able to crack executive or professional?

So Let’s analyse few things first.

Conceptual clarity

So problem is ,We don’t ask “why” on each step? We don’t compare things and ask why there is a difference?

This is because,We don’t have time to go in-depth.We want to give both groups, we want to give multiple exams & hence we don’t have time to ask “why”. We want to run very fast ,achieve very fast. Point is you need to slow down . Learn slowly ,step by step, make strong foundation and then conquer exams.

Further ,We get tensed when we spend more time on concept, hence we don’t ask why???

We don’t ask doubts because people will think I am a fool.

We simply read and solve again & again and remember things and produce it from memory.But the fact is Memory is bad 50% of times, we get confused many times; we do silly mistakes and we keep scoring low.

So what is the solution?

Follow this Study Methodology

Step 1: Why this concept is there? Read all the “questions” only questions not answers related to this concept at the start to increase curiosity

Step 2: Read whole concept at one stretch? Then ask why I was not able to think on my own, where I was lacking in the thought process?

Step 3: How to remember? Which flow is good, diagram is good, story is good, mnemonic etc

Step 4: Write key words in sequence to remember, don’t make bulky summary.

Study with slow and steady speed, ask rationale behind each step, and aim on quality not quantity

Take guidance from professors for each subject. Ask this “why” to each one of them again and again without hesitation, after you try to think about these doubts for at-least 2-3 days on your own? This will develop your thought process

Revision and mock test

Ask yourself how many times have you revised, appeared for test series and mock test in the last attempt. See the reason why you are not achieving up to the mark is because you are not solving test series and mock test.

Why it is necessary is because you just study, mug up and go for exams. And what happens in 3 hrs of the exam?

You are in exam pressure and could not manage time. This is the reason why you fail.

The reality is that you have not gone through this pressure in last 6 to 9 months and you directly appear for exams . What about time management, Stress management, Writing speed, decision making and application of knowledge. You have to do all this in 3 hrs. And the reality is you haven't faced it before. Because you haven't given test series or mock test

A lot of people fear giving test so that they would score less. Scoring less is not the point. If you attempt the mock test. You will get to know real time situation which you will be going through in main exams . Once you are used to it,then in main exams, no one can fail you. Because you have practiced it very well. You will know the key to tackle exams, managing time and stress at the same time. writing fast with good presentation .You can achieve all this because you have practiced for the main exams well.

Study plan and time table

Many of you don’t follow time table or study plan. We have made an attempt by making 4 comprehensive study plan to follow to crack December 2016 exams. Target next 90 days for in-depth studies.For one week study, the first half day one subject and the other half another subject.Revision and cumulative revision on Sundays with suggested answers or Scanner.

Go through it and follow it regularly.

Paper Presentation and Writing techniques

Writing in professional exams is complicated. You cannot go on writing for 2 -3 pages. Remember,in professional exams, quality is appreciated than quantity. You should be precise and point wise.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

1. Heading: Give Proper Heading regarding what you are about to Compute
2. Workings: Every Calculation Should be Written in the Answer
3. Reasoning: Give the Notes for your Computation
4. Conclusion: Conclude based on the Question Asked.

PROVISION BASED QUESTIONs

1. Reference: Refer to the Exact Section/Rule/Notification to which the Question Relates (or) at least write "As per the provisions of  __________ Act or Rules"
2. Provision: Reproduce the Provision what you have learnt
3. Facts N Discussion: Relate the Current Question to the Provision and Explain your View
4. Conclusion: Conclude Based on the Question Asked.

DESCRIPTIVE QUESTIONS

1. Dont Write in Paragraphs
2. Write to The Point
3. Dont Load The Answer With Unnecessary Information
4. Dont Create Answers and Write What You Have Read

CASE LAW QUESTIONS

1. Reference: Case Citation (or) at least write as per the laid down case
2. Decision: Write the Decision of that case
3. Facts N Discussion: Relate Current Question to the case Referred and Explain
4. Conclusion: Conclude Based on The Question Asked.

So students, you have 3 months from now. Sacrifice every single seconds so that you can enjoy every single second in your life later. Just grind yourself for 3 months. Because on next 25^th February, you are going to smile. And the biggest happiness you can get is , when you see your parents happy because of you. Start studying now. Prove yourself and remember guys we are with you.
