MOTIVATIONAL STORY

MOTIVATIONAL STORY

A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a very big company.🙏🏻
.
The employer interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor. 😅
.
“You are hired.” – the employer said. ”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill, as well as when you will start.” 📲
.
The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, neither an email.”
.
“I’m sorry,” said the employer, “if you don’t have an email , you cannot have the job.” 😞
.
The man left with no hope. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10 USD in his pocket. 😎
.
He then decided to go to the supermarket, bought a 10 kg tomato crate, then sold the tomatoes door to door. In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his capital. He repeated the operation 3 times and returned home with $60 USD. 🤔
.
The man realized that he could survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and returned late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday. Shortly later, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles. 🙂
.
Five years later, the man’s company was one of the biggest food retailers. He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man replied: “I don’t have an email.”
.
The broker replied curiously, “You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Do you imagine what position you could have if you had an email?” 🙏🏻
.
The man paused for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”
.

.
Moral:

.
Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today. Better opportunities are always waiting ahead.

At age 5 his Father died.
At age 16 he quit school.
At age 17 he had already lost four jobs.
At age 18 he got married.
Between ages 18 and 22, he was a railroad conductor and failed. He joined the army and washed out there.
He applied for law school he was rejected.
He became an insurance sales man and failed again.
At age 19 he became a father.
At age 20 his wife left him and took their baby daughter.
He became a cook and dishwasher in a small cafe.
He failed in an attempt to kidnap his own daughter, and eventually he convinced his wife to return home.
At age 65 he retired.
On the 1st day of retirement he received a cheque from the Government for $105.
He felt that the Government was saying that he couldn’t provide for himself.
He decided to commit suicide, it wasn’t worth living anymore; he had failed so much.
He sat under a tree writing his will, but instead, he wrote what he would have accomplished with his life.
He realised there was much more that he hadn’t done.
There was one thing he could do better than anyone he knew. And that was how to cook. So he borrowed $87 against his cheque and bought and fried up some chicken using his recipe, and went door to door to sell them to his neighbours in Kentucky.
.
Remember at age 65 he was ready to commit suicide. But at age 88 Colonel Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Empire was a billionaire.

CA FINAL RANK HOLDERS NOV 2015 INTERVIEW

CA FINAL RANK HOLDERS NOV 2015 INTERVIEW

.

CA Toppers Nov 2015 Clears Exam in One Sitting, Makes Chennai Proud

.

CA Final 1st Rank Holder-James John Britto

A 23-year-old BCom graduate from Chennai, James John Britto, has emerged the national topper in his maiden attempt in the final Chartered Accountant exam, the results of which were announced on Sunday. Trailing him was Mohan Kumar Nagolu from Thottamledu, a non-descript hamlet under Chodavaram village panchayat near Srikalahasti in Chittoor district in Andhra, who emerged second.
A resident of Mogappair, Britto completed his graduation in Loyola College. The final exam of one of the most toughest and rigorous professional courses in the world was conducted in November. Britto’s overall score was 595 out of 800 (74.38 per cent) which secured him the first rank in the country. The CA exams are divided into three levels — Common Proficiency Test (CPT), Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and the Final Examination.
“After clearing the foundation exams (CPT), I started preparing for the intermediate exams (IPCC). Since I did not wish to discontinue, I was preparing for the IPCC alongside my UG course,” said Britto.
On strategies he adopted to clear the exam, which people with even five to 10 years of professional CA experience find tough, he said, “I stuck to my basic plan of studying hard for 10-12 hours on an average everyday and this eventually peaked during the last few weeks of preparation.”
When asked about his future plans, one thing Britto was clear about was that he wanted to work in the city.
“As of now, I am looking at employment and have kept options open regarding the nature of the company. But one thing is for sure, I wouldn’t prefer working abroad as I love working here in the city,” said Britto, son of A Raja, a leading chartered accountant.
His father being in the field for nearly 30 years was one of the factors that Britto said contributed to his great success. “My father, who is in the same industry for close to 30 years, helped me a lot during the preparations and I would say his role was crucial throughout the CA exam journey.” Of the 42, 469 candidates who took up the exam last November, only 2,440 (5.75%) managed to clear the exam.
.

.

CA Final 2nd Rank holder-Nagolu Mohan Kumar

Nagolu Mohan Kumar from Tirupati and Avinash Sancheti from Kolkata secured the second and third rank in the final exam with scores 572 (71. 5 per cent) and 566 (70.75 per cent) respectively. When Mohan received a call from Manoj Fadnis, the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), informing him about his results, Mohan Kumar was literally on cloud nine.
“My happiness knew no bounds when Manoj Sir called me up and told me that I had secured the all-India second rank. The call was immediately followed by another one, this time from M Devaraj Reddy, vice-president of ICAI. I was thrilled and shared the news with my family,” Mohan Kumar told Express over the phone. Mohan, who pursued the CA course right from Intermediate, took coaching from Superwhiz in Vijayawada and did his articleship with Datla and Associates in Hyderabad. He attributed his success in the CA final to hard work. “Since November, four months prior to the commencement of exams, I had been studying 12 to 13 hours a day, including Sundays,” he said, opining that systematic preparation is the key for success in CA exams.
Mohan Kumar’s father N Nagaraju Reddy is a farmer, while his brother Bhanuprakash has completed his BTech. Kumar’s entire family celebrated his success with the villagers also joining them.
Going forward, Mohan Kumar said, he wanted to work with a good MNC for three-four years before going for own practice.
Meanwhile, Superwhizz principal S Venkateswara Rao said along with Mohan Kumar, the institute had bagged three more ranks within the first 50 ranks. J Harsha Sai bagged the 7th rank, M Swathi the 32nd and P Pradeep Rai secured the 50th rank at the national level. The ICAI also released results for the CPT exams conducted during the December 2015 on Sunday. The overall pass percentage for this exam was around 34.45 percent as only 34,129 out of the 99,077 candidates who appeared for it cleared the test.

Y2K: WHEN CLOCKS FORGOT TO MEASURE TIME

Y2K: WHEN CLOCKS FORGOT TO MEASURE TIME

.
Late in 90’s, the computer scientist around the world noticed a problem with the programming of the clocks. Most of the digital clocks were programmed in such a way that the last two digits of the year were taken to denote the entire year, i.e. the date 19 March 1993 would have been read as 19/03/93. The 93 at the end did not create any kind of problem, because people generally do not mention the century. However this way of reading date was supposed to create problem from year 2000.
As for the year 2000, it was not just a year, but a millennium which was changing. Which mean that clocks which were programmed to read the last two digits of the year started reading year 2000 as 1900. Publishing houses started calling it as the millennium bug, or Y2K. Was this a grave problem that the leader of the worlds had to sit and ponder about it? Well, Yes.
Because of the bug, all the interest rates on loans, forex rates, petroleum prices etc. would have been charged according to 1900s rates! In fact, the Y2K bug started creating problem for the credit cards companies, as the cards due in 2000 were being shown as expired. In 1997, Forbes published an article claiming that the millennium bug, if not fixed in time can cause a loss of 1 trillion dollar to USA alone. Like USA, all the countries who had embraced computers in there banking systems, were under the threat of similar consequences.
While several companies started fixing the bug on their own, in India, RBI entrusted the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) to upgrade the systems at the bank branches. Members were provided with the upgrade, and since the core banking system was not in existences, the members were supposed visit each branch to check and fix the bug. ICAI, being the largest body of the financial professional in the country, shouldered the responsibility and issued guidance notes in order to educate the members. Later members were asked to mention in their audit report if the auditee organization was Y2K compliant.
These collective efforts bore fruits, and Y2K was fixed well before year 2000 and threat of banking disruption passed away, making ICAI and its member the unsung heroes.

CA TOP RANK HOLDER MAITREYEE ADVISES: KEEP YOUR COOL

CA TOP RANK HOLDER MAITREYEE ADVISES: KEEP YOUR COOL

.
.
MAITREYEE Narayansingh Rajput, who hails from Panchal, a small village in Maharashtra, stood first in the CA Final Exam. Daughter of retired high school teachers, she did her schooling in Ratnagiri and completed her education in Pune and Kolhapur. She shares her journey of success.
Fast Facts
Name: Maitreyee Narayansingh Rajput
Exam: CA Final All-India
Score : 596
Roll No: 17525
Location: Pune
.
Q.When did you decide to take up CA?A . It was in Class 10! So, inclination towards commerce was natural. Maitreyee joined Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (Pune) to pursue BCom. My parent’s untiring support helped me consistently excel in academics. Maitreyee got the third rank in Senior Secondary School at Kolhapur district level followed by first rank in Higher Secondary School Exam at Pune district level.
.
Q.Do you think articleship and coaching is a must?A . Yes. For coaching, Maitreyee joined A S foundation, Excellent Academy and Swapnil Patni’s classes. In my opinion, coaching is important but at the same time it is also not sufficient. Personally, I stress on self-study. On the other hand, the articleship is the most crucial part of CA programme. Students get excellent exposure to various areas of finance and accounting. It would be difficult to swim in the accounting world, if you don’t have a hand-on- experience. I worked with two firms – Sastakar Vaidya & Co and P G Bhagwat.
.
Q.Share your time management mantras.
A .I started full-fledged studies six months in advance. I used to study for eight to 10 hours a day. I had made my time-table and tried to stick to it. For practical subjects like Accounts, SFM, Costing – I invested a lot of time in practising.
.
Q.Any tips to cope with tough papers?A .In the last few days, I started solving ICAI’s previous years papers. I used to self conduct exam for myself. It was a challenge to beat time! I used create an exam like ambience on my study table. For me, Information System Control Audit (ICSA) and Indirect Tax (IDT) were easy papers. Rest of the other subjects were pretty difficult, especially Costing and DT. In the Costing paper, I kept my cool and solved those questions about which I was confident. The tougher and tricky ones needed more time, so I approached them at the end.
.
Q.What next after this euphoric moment? An MBA?A .I have not made up mind for further studies. I want to relax and settle down in a good job. I want to give my best at the job I take up next. For me focus is important. I will start thinking about MBA once I am fully confident about my job.

INTERVIEW OF AIR 3 HARSHA C. BHATTAD BY CA NITIN SONI

INTERVIEW OF AIR 3 HARSHA C. BHATTAD BY CA NITIN SONI

.
Harsha
.
Hi, Below We Are Showing you the Interview of AIR 3 Harsha C. Bhattad by CA Nitin Soni, Harsha bhattad is a CA Final All india Rank 3 Holder. So Check the Interview of Interview of AIR 3 Harsha C. Bhattad by CA Nitin Soni Below.
.

INTERVIEW

CA Nitin Soni: How do you feel… now that you are a Chartered Accountant?
Harsha: This is really an honorary feeling. I know this is not something that I am used to… but surely this is a wonderful and satisfactory feeling.
CA Nitin Soni: Were you expecting a Rank?
Harsha: Actually, exams preparations to aise hi kiye the maine… Rank 3 is a surprise but I was preparing with a rank in mind.
CA Nitin Soni: Now that you have got AIR 3, do you think you could have improved your ranking… could have got AIR 1 or 2?
Harsha: Yes…Absolutely! In fact the guy who got AIR 1 would be thinking the same thing… he could have done more and scored more. So this tendency is there and I too think that if I had done more I could have achieved more.
CA Nitin Soni: Were you a rank holder in CPT and IPCC?
Harsha: Yes I got rank in both CPT & IPCC, In CPT it was 12 and IPCC it was 23.
CA Nitin Soni: Harsha, how important do you think hard work is for CA Final or for entire CA course?
Harsha: I would like to give a diplomatic answer… hard work is important for all competitive exams but specially in CA, people & students have this thinking that one has to study for very long hours… 15-18 hours a day to clear exam and become a CA. But I believe our CA curriculum and pattern is such that not hard study but smart study is important.
CA Nitin Soni: Fantastic!! I think that’s a very valid point..
Harsha: Yaa… you know I used to go out with friends and watch movies and people around used to say that you are going out for movies etc.. but I used to say that I know what my targets are and if I have achieved them then I can do what I want and enjoy as well.
CA Nitin Soni: Right, but Harsha, what exactly do you mean by smart study?
Harsha: Ok. By smart study I mean two things. One is to know what Institute expects out of a Chartered Accountant. E.g. is, people know a provision but they cannot present it… probably because they don’t know what the Institute is expecting out of it. The second is that a lot of students do not believe in ICAI study material… the modules and RTP and other reference books etc. They think coaching material is sufficient.
CA Nitin Soni: Yup!
Harsha: Rather, you know there were some bad experiences for me. Once I got this rank, I have been getting so many calls from across India. I won’t take names but I got calls from few professors as well who literally asked me, where I have taken the coaching from… what notes I followed but no one actually asked me what exactly was my strategy!
CA Nitin Soni: I see, So basically you are trying to say that use ICAI study modules and RTP and suggested etc.
Harsha: Yes. Because that helps us understand what the Institute expects from us. Professors do make things easy for us with their notes and all but referring ICAI material helps us understand Institute’s expectations.
CA Nitin SoniRight, by the way Harsha, did you take any coaching?
Harsha: Yaa…ofcourse Yes.
CA Nitin Soni: ok. Now I am trying to think from a student’s perspective. Apart from the coaching academy or professor’s notes you also referred ICAI modules & RTPs and other study materials..?
Harsha: Yes. Professors’ notes I might have done once or twice but study modules and all I have done thoroughly.
CA Nitin Soni: ok. Tell me, how many hours preparation did you put in? Ek din me kitne ghante padhte the ?
Harsha: I started with like… 10-12 hours. But in the last 2 months I increased it to 12-14 or even 15-16 hours as well.
CA Nitin Soni: Right. So basically it was a combination of hard work and smart work.
Harsha: Ya exactly. There is no point putting in number of hours without a strategy and quality.
CA Nitin Soni: Correct. Accha ek baat batao, how did you manage to retain such a huge syllabus? Did you employ any special techniques for subjects like ISCA?
Harsha: Yes. I had to. They are not my core subjects. They are not my expert area so I had to. Right.. but here too it was a combination of study techniques and understanding the basic concept. So yes, I did make my own flow charts etc… say for example in Income Tax there are overlapping provisions so I made my own notes and charts to understand this is this and this is that.
CA Nitin Soni: What is the importance of Revision.
Harsha: Laughs. I cannot tell you… (Laughs) but it the THE MOST important thing.
CA Nitin Soni: ok Let me put it this way… How was your revision schedule like… topic by topic revise karte the ya poori book..?
Harsha: Initially for first reading it was 2 subjects per day. So that it doesn’t get too monotonous. I actually did 3 revisions and that time I used to pick 3 subjects at a time and then I devoted time to them like before lunch ye karna hai. .. after lunch ye karna hai… or after breakfast ye… so it was like that. So time frames were there… but there were also mini time frames. And it’s not that at the time of revision I was revising EVERYTHING. In fact at the time of first reading only I decided that this is important and this is not. And if something is not that important to main apni language me summary bna leti thi . And I also used marker etc.
CA Nitin Soni: So we can say that you revised each subject 3 -4 times?
Harsha: Yes. 3 -4 times to ho hi gya tha.
CA Nitin Soni: Ok Harsha, did you prepare any brief notes while studying to revise later on?
Harsha: Yes. I had to. I used to jot down what are important points and all. I used to make charts and all those things.
CA Nitin Soni: so you agree that application of 80-20 rule is important. Like covering up 10 year papers (scanners) Amendments etc.
Harsha: Yes. Absolutely. But I would also like to state that students generally notice that few questions are asked in the past exams from a topic and they prepare only those past questions. But in reality they should understand that that topic is important. And a new questions may be asked which was not asked before. So it’s important to understand that which topic is important.
CA Nitin Soni: How crucial is the overall environment for studies. Your friends, family, relatives etc.
Harsha: It is crucial and it is very pressurizing as well (Laughs).
CA Nitin Soni: Ya.. so how did you handle the pressure then?
Harsha: Just keep going… there is no other option. You just have to keep going.
CA Nitin Soni: Right. And how important is sacrifice for a CA student?
Harsha: Sacrifice is there and its worth it.
CA Nitin Soni: Do you believe in this – I CAN attitude. Believing that you can be a CA and you CAN get a Rank.
Harsha: Absolutely! Absolutely. I truly believe in that. I cannot deny that. In CPT I didn’t believe that I would get a Rank but I did but then in IPCC and Final I believed that I will get a rank and I got.
CA Nitin Soni: What is important of these 2 letters in front of your name now – CA.
Harsha: Laughs… It was all for these 2 letter only. The entire fight and everything…
CA Nitin Soni: Why did you decide to be a CA?
Harsha: I’ll be very open in answering this. The point is I come from a Marwari family and it is in their blood. You know… calculating… the cost benefit analysis, tax outlay etc. and since childhood I have seen my dad and my uncles doing it all so of-course slowly and steadily It started getting this in my mind, was elder sister also a Chartered Accountant and a couple of other things happened and I decided that yes CA is the thing for me.
CA Nitin Soni: Right. So now that you are a CA. What are you going to do?
Harsha: Core Chartered Accountancy things are not on my list now. So I am planning to appear for CAT exam and may be I get involved in investment banking and all… lets see how things work out.
CA Nitin Soni: Great Harsha.. lastly anything you’d like to say or share with the aspiring Chartered Accountants?
Harsha: I thing I have said everything but one thing I would like to say is its all about these 3-4 months before the exams. Its tough and at times we loose out confidence.. but just believe in yourself and the people around you. Fix the target and keep going. This attitude makes you do things.. it really does that.
CA Nitin Soni: Fantastic! ok.. Just one last questions Harsha. You know, even after putting hard work & doing smart studies and even after believing and doing everything else – You Fail. Then how to keep going?
Harsha: Hmm… (thinks).. ok.. Honestly I don’t know because I have not failed in CA Exams. But ofcourse I have seen a lot of people actually putting in a lot of hard work and they were not through. It happened with my friends… But I realized that they are the victim of the habit of putting in a lot of hard work but not on quality stuff… so somewhere that fact is missing. This is what I truly believe. You know, at times even I have wondered about people who were merit holders in school but couldn’t clear in CA. I know so many people around me. But I think there is probably a lack of focus… missing quality or ofcourse there has to be something… and you have to find out yourself because no one can tell you… not your professors or no one.
CA Nitin Soni: Yes… No one… I think what you said really makes sense,Harsha. Thank you very much! All your answers were fantastic and straight from heart. This was really amazing! and All the best to CA Harsha now.
Harsha: Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it. Thank you!
