Govt Notifies Common Portals for E-Way Bill

The Central Government today notifed www.gst.gov.in as the Common Goods and Services Tax Electronic Portal for facilitating registration, payment of tax, furnishing of returns and computation and settlement of integrated tax and www.ewaybillgst.gov.in as the Common Goods and Services Tax Electronic Portal for furnishing electronic way bill.

The 24th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council decided to implement E-way bill from 1st February 2017.

Under the E-way Bill provisions, both the inter-State and intra-State movement of goods above Rs 50,000 is required to be pre-registered online.
