Breaking: E-Way Bill postponed due to Technical Glitches

.
The Central Government has decided to postpone the implementation of E-Way Bill system due to technical glitches in the common portal.
.
“In view of difficulties faced by the trade in generating e-way bill due to initial tech glitches, it has been decided to extend the trial phase for generation of the e-way bill, both for inter and intra-State movement of goods. It shall be made compulsory from a date to be announced,” the Official Twitter handle of the Government confirmed.
.
In a bid to bring more accountability and transparency in the transactions and thereby to curb tax evasion, the most-awaited E-way Bill provision under the Goods and Services Tax regime is to be rolled out from today.
.
Under the E-way Bill provisions, both the inter-State and intra-State movement of goods above Rs 50,000 is required to be pre-registered online.
